Lunch time for the hard working: Jodia Bazaar, Karachi in October 1983.
Karachi 1983: Interesection of Arambagh Road and Shahrah-e-Liaquat Road. The NED Shevakunj Hostel is visible. On the corner is the German Health Center with treatment of all kinds of reproductive disorders. (to keep the dialogue decent!) Right above it is the Jamila Nighat Maternity and Nursing Home (in case the treatment is successful! ) Do not think there is a business partnership here, maybe just real estate synergy or co-incidence! Around the corner is the famous Arambagh Masjid. There are many more “health clinics” in this neighborhood, none run by registered doctors! They are an alternative to the standard treatment of Civil Hospital doctors. (AHK)
